Writer's Block: Seven Days

Which day of the week do you least look forward to? And which one do you most anticipate?

In general, I have least looked forward to Thursdays lately - for the simple fact that they're my Monday in regards to my work schedule. That fact wasn't such a big deal back in the days when I only worked one job. When you work two jobs though, even if you only work five day weeks, 55-60 hour weeks prove to be very, very long and tiring. Thursdays may lose their status as least looked forward to soon, though, but they may also remain there. I recently got a pseudo-promotion so I work an easy sub-department at Fred Meyer (Frozen Food) two days a week - which will commonly be Thursday/Friday. We'll see if that has a changing affect on those sentiments once I work it a bit more and get into the groove of things.

Alternatively, Tuesdays have been the most anticipated for that same thought process - Tuesdays mark my first (and potentially only, though commonly just first) solid day off during the work week. This is also usually the day that, for that reason, gets used to get out and do things - even though I usually end up sitting on my ass anyways because my friends' and family's schedules often don't jive too well with mine. All is well, though... I'm always chill just relaxin at home and chatting it up with Ashlynn for most of the day while I peruse the interwebs or tv/movie entertainment while sending random txts to random people. Though it would also be cool if I were a bit more social and had more friends to get out more often at the same time... or even just to have that option.

As for this week, my most anticipated day has come and, unfortunately, already past - even though I'm not sure if that'd be Sunday or Monday. Sunday I finally got to meet Ashlynn. After meeting online nearly seven years ago, we never really had a decent opportunity to actually meet in person. That sucks though, cause while she's awesome talking with over long distances, she's even more awesome and amazing in person. I will always remember seeing her get up and run at me when she came into view after clearing the ceiling on the way down the escalator at the airport.

Monday, however, we actually got to hang out and spend more time together - and not running off the fumes of 23 hours of work and 1 hour of sleep, as I was on Sunday. Plus, this time was spent mostly just the two of us, which was also most pleasant. It's a lot easier to give all your attention to one person when you're with them and them alone, versus when you're with them playing games with two other people (one of which also a friend, and one having just met). We also weren't spending so much time in mutual indecisiveness of trying to figure out what the hell to do. We more or less had a plan for the day, and other things to do just fell into place as needed for the most part.

I am not looking forward to tomorrow (Wednesday - though I guess that would technically be today) though - other than getting to see her and spend a little more time with her again. I head back to Oregon today. This trip has been to short, and I unfortunately can't pack her up and take her with me, as Jer and I discussed this morning. Nor can I stay, though I think I could definitely adapt to Phoenix. That just wouldn't be a good idea to just stay here, nor would it be possible at all at this point of time anyways - financially or logistically.

My mini-vacation this week has been an amazing experience, nonetheless. A little awkward at times, simply due to timing with things going on in both our lives and having just met after knowing eachother nearly seven years in an online/long-distance capacity. In spite of those facts though, it's just an amazing feeling to finally be with or around her in a physical capacity. I'm going to miss her, oh so very frickin' much, even though I don't doubt we'll still talk on a daily basis as we have been. In fact, I've honestly missed her every time we've been seperated during this trip.

Well, I had something else to write, too, but I forgot it as I put this on writing on pause once Ashlynn came over after work so I could hang with her and Seth and Keir. If I remember, I'll add it later. But as for now, I bid you all good night as I think of seeing her again tomorrow (bittersweet thoughts, as I definitely don't want to stop seeing her).
